Resources and Opportunities in Agri & Food Processing Sector

     Andhra Pradesh is the second largest producer of horticulture products in India and it is expected that the production will reach 22.90 million tones by the year 2020. The State's 1,000 kilometer coastline, 8,577 kilometer river length and 102 reservoirs spread over an area of 2.34 lakh hectare have been the principal sources of its marine foods, fresh water foods, including fish and prawn. Andhra pradesh is the largest egg producer in India. As per the Agro Climatic Zones the following Major Crops are grown in Andhra Pradesh:
