Industrial Infrastructure Development fund
The State Government has introduced a new scheme called the "Industrial Infrastructure Development Fund" (IIDF) in G.O.Ms.No.9, Industries & Commerce Dept.,dated:5th January, 2001. The fund is created to provide infrastructure facilities such as roads, electricity, water drainage etc. at the doorstep of the proposed industry in all those areas identified by the State Government as Industrial Areas.
This fund may be used only when there is no provision for taking up the infrastructure works under the regular budget/programmers of the concerned line department. Further, 10% of the IIDF may be spent on technology development, Cluster Development and market support systems for the SSI and tiny sector such as providing corpus for establishment of technical institutions or incubation centers. Further, whenever industries are located in places other than the Industrial Areas, the Government will share the cost of infrastructure up to 25% or Rs.100 lakhs whichever is less, if such a location is otherwise justified.
